This is Printer's Alley in Nashville, TN.
My main interest is in the composition of the image. Right now I've got it cropped so that I keep as much of the sign as possible, but is the portion of the building in the upper right corner a problem? Is the slant of the buildings a problem? If I rotate to straighten the buildings, I lose quite a bit of the sign, but how much of the sign is absolutely necessary? Those are my questions; of course, if you wish to comment on something else... have at it. EXIF: Nikkor 18-135 @ 18mm; 1/40 @ f 3.5; ISO 640 (contrast increased slightly post)

The brightness of the top left corner pulls my eyes away from the sign, and from there my eyes go to the buildings and back down to the word alley, so I'm not sure if you are accomplishing what you want with this particular shot. I might try decreasing the light areas to see if it helps with that corner.

I guess a little shadow and contrast in post production would make this better...
I played around the brightness and contrast with it... hope you didn't mind. edit.jpg |

Hi ALan. Regarding the composition, it is really very hard to correct the buildings if your main focus is the sign. I think only TS lens will allow this ( if I am not mistaken ). I agree that what you should do is bring the sign to pop out more. Try to bring more contrast and brightness to it for it not to be overshadowed by the upper right sky. This is just what I think, not an expert though hehe.
