Hi -
I took this shot in Maine a few weeks ago with my old Yashica. Personally, I love the photo but I'm trying to improve. NCPS in California processed and scanned the film. I cropped it and post processed it using a Quadtone preset in CS3. I like the grain Tri-X gives but am leaning toward Neopan for B&W for it's tonal quality (that is apropos of nothing really). My question is about the composition (please click the photo and view the larger one). It's roughly rule of thirds but I think the barn might be too far to the middle. Please let me know your thoughts. chris ![]() Camera make: Yashica Camera model: Electro 35 Date/Time: 2009:05:30 Film: Kodak Tri-X (135) Flash used: No Focal length: 45.0mm Exposure time: ? Aperture: f/5.6 ISO: 400 (Used an orange filter over the lens and dialed ASA to 200)

Although I can't see the original any more, I do like your edited version. The graininess is a bit extreme, but I do like the effect. I think that, overall, it's a bit underexposed -- the barn doesn't show up very much, and everything is very grey. You could probably digitally edit your scan and modify some of that.
