Default First attempt at golf course pano

17 island green

Any ideas on different cropping or camera settings? I see the lake in the background is a little blown out, but other than that I was pretty happy with it. I think I may be a little prejudice though that is why I am hoping for some feedback from someone with a more artistic eye. The pano is 14 pictures taken in portrait and stitched with Adobe Elements 7.

EXIF
Camera: Nikon D100
Aperture f/9.5
Exposure time 1/30sec
ISO 200
focal length 150mm

I think its technically well done, as far as exposure, colors, etc. go. I enjoy the composition, particular the way its divided into three with the bridge, green, and water. However, though it is hard to judge a panorama on a computer screen fairly, the photo feels cramped vertically. I think if you could have taken another row of shots above, this would have been an awesome pano. Or at least zoomed out a bit more and swung the lens up a bit to get in more of the buildings in the background and at least see some sky. Beyond that though, I think its a well done pano...nice cast of early morning sun across the green.

Upon further examination, you might be able to enhance the pano by going the other way with the cropping, and chop just enough off the top--i.e. the buildings--and then I wouldn't be so distracted/curious about what lies beyond the top boundary of the image.

The exif data that you posted had me scratching my head.

So I looked at your true exif on flickr and it shows 1/30. not 30 sec.

I think I like the idea of cropping it more on the top, the buildings behind it aren't very interesting in my opinion. I fixed the EXIF thanks for the input, I do appreciate it.
