Default Moon attempt

This was one of my first attempts at capturing a nearly full moon. This was done with my Sigma 70-300 @ 200mm.

f/stop f/7
focal length 214mm
shutter 1/100
ISO 100

I think you did a great job on a first attempt at a moon shot, your EXIF file says you did what you needed to do. Another plus for you is that you did not take the full moon but a few days before, this makes the craters more visible.

A very nice first attempt! I might suggest that it could benefit from a little sharpening to make the crater detail pop bit more. Overall I like it !

Here's my attempt at the same full moon.
Moon Over Texas

my EXif:
Camera: Canon EOS 50D
Exposure: 0.04 sec (1/25)
Aperture: f/16.0
Focal Length: 380 mm
ISO Speed: 100

Barabe - Thanks I appreciate it.

Meadster - That is a great photo you have as well. Amazing that it is the same moon and look at the differences. By sharpening I assume you mean through pp? Thanks.
