Default Pensacola Lighthouse in May

I shot this while at the Pensacola Air Station in May 09. I adjusted the saturation and vibrance with PS. Please tell me what I can do to make it better. This is my first submission. Thanks!

Try a different time of day, or maybe make it b&w or sepia. I say this as it would help warm the colors some, and soften the shadows as well.

I took this one not too far from where you did, and the time of day was near sunset.

I love how the tree branches frame the buildings.

The lighthouse looks like it's 'growing' out of the top of the building and I find that a bit distracting.

Composition wise, those branches are covering up the subject of the photo, especially the main branch coming from the middle right edge, and they make getting a great exposure tougher due to the fact they are so much darker than the main subjects.

Move so that the branches do not cover up the building or lighthouse. Remember your rule of thirds so that you don't just have the building and lighthouse centered as they are now. A circ polarizer would help too, your pp looks nice.

AoxoA....Thanks for the input! I was seriously into film photography when I was in my 20's and haven't picked a camera up until the past few months. I am really enjoying my rediscovered hobby, but I have lost touch with all of the new advances, especially digital.

I like the saturation of the colors. But I find the framing from the tree a little bit distracting. It tends to cover your main subject. Maybe there is an angle where you could include some of the branches but leave the tower free from branches. This is just my opinion hehe.
