I think you should crop the remaining foreground rocks out, let the fence dominate the lower zone of the shot leading the eyes out to the end of the pier.

The warmer tones of the second shot are definitely more appealing, but I also say that your initial image is so strong that it would be able to shine with a variety of pp options from the sublime to the extreme.

i also like the 2nd one. Nice shots and nice work on the filters and PP.

Are the rocks in the foreground too dark/ light?
-yes, too dark.

I would love it if you adjusted the image and reposted it her as i am very open to learning and taking suggestions to improve my photography.

I like the lightness of the rocks in the first photo, and really everything else, too. First gets my vote!
