Hey everyone, Im pretty new here. I just got my Nikon D60, before that I was using a P&S. I took a photo the other night of a Lighthouse local to here. I was hoping you could give me some feedback.



Aside from the stupid sign in the corner how's it look?

First welcome to DPS,

You should read the rules for posting, yous shot is a tad big for the critique section and EXIF files are a must for critique.


This is a nice perspective on the ight house, i would have taken a few steps to the left to get rid of the sign and ret rid of those cranes on the left. The light house is almost dead center, this does not respect the rule of 1/3 but rules are made to be broken.
This is a good shot.

nice shot, clear n sharp, but subject is too small, far out, try getting closer,

Was there something interesting to either side ? I think that would have made for a better pic , instead of just putting it in the middle.

The pole ( the green thing) distracts from the fab. pic you have there.
