I took this the morning i first got my polarizing lens. I was wondering if i hit the exposure (silhouette) correctly. Any other comments appreciated too. Thank you.

I also darkened the shadows in lightroom to get better blacks.

Looks like you hit everything right on the money to me. Great shot.

Hi,
I love the colors! Only suggestions I would make are:
I think the horizon could be lower, as it is in the middle and seems to take away from both the sky and the water reflection. I would put the buildings at about the 1/3 from the bottom. Also, the horizon seems to be a bit tilted--could use some straightening.
Thanks for sharing this great shot!
Bill

This is an awesome shot! but yeah, the clouds are too awesome that it needs more space in the photo.

So I'd just go with ARBORGUY's advice there. Maybe a little panoramic-ish cropping might help it out a bit.

Regarding exposure, I think you got it right on the spot. Great colors, great tones... great shot!

Great shot, great exposure, I agree with others above about positioning and straight horizon.

I would have to agree with the composition. I think you need to include more of the sky since the colors are awesome. I think the silhouette is just right. I can still see some details on the building and the sky isn't so bright. Nice work.

As others have said the horizon should be lower to bring in more of the sky but fab. shot!

Maybe it would look better to crop some of the sky instead of the water?
