Default Reflections

Reflections

Again, I adjusted the curves on this one. I like it as it was, but somehow I thought it might need a little improvement.

I know it's not normal to place the horizon on the middle, but then again the reflections on the lower part makes the photo a little more special.

So on to the question... how's the composition? what would you have done in this shot?
and... how's the exposure? too dark? should I brighten it up a bit? or should I have kept the original colors intact?

EXIF:

Exposure: 0.01 sec (1/100)
Aperture: f/16.0

I dont mind the horisont being in the middle, because with the sky and its reflection the image follows the rule of symmetry.

On the other hand, this photo is definetly too dark, and I personaly like the original colours more than this processed version.

I agree with Wooglah - the processed photo is way too dark. The original has a lot more potential if you worked on bringing up those nice colors of the sunset.

Woooowww MarcoDJ if I had to choose from the two it would be a very tough job for me! Eventhough there aren't many changes to the original to me they are completely two different photographs with completely diferent moods. The original is gorgeous for the colours and reflections of the sky in the water while the processed version has that "the light at the end of the tunnel" feeling and I love it. I would definitely keep both of them! Very well done!
PS. One thing I would probably like to see is the horizon straightened up.

Thanks for the critique guys!
I'd try to fix them up when I get some free time again. Maybe I'd try to make up the original one and post it up for comparison here one of these days.

Nice shot, kabayan. I prefer the colors of the original pic.

Default My 2 cents

I like the original colors and not to dark. I think it would be good to level the horizon.

I followed your advice guys and just lived off the original image. I just levelled the horizon and didn't touch the colors.

What do you guys think?
