From the title I know the subject of this image is the obvesatory yet it is only a very small and hardly recognizable part of the composition. I think I would "crop for subject" on this image.

I agree with the previous posters. There is a lack of detail in the picture. The person in the foreground is what draws my eye.

ditto on the previous posters, you might want to take out the person in the foreground to have the guiding line (the road) lead the observers eye towards the observatory.

if it wasn't for the title, I'd think that the dome on the center would be the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem
