Default Golden leaves.....

Hi all, this pic was taken in Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico with my traditional camera Canon EOS Rebel G and film Kodak Ultra 400, therefore there is no EXIF available

I went to the DDR to edit it and create oil painting effect

Can you please critic composition and manipulation?

thanks

Sorry Art, I dont think the painting effect worked. For me they just look blurry.
Composition wise, you have a winner here. Love the blue sky behind the twigs and leaves

colors and contrast of colors is nice. In the second one I see a bit of a weird artifact in the blue around the leaves. My main criticism is the DOF is too shallow for the subject (IMO).
I actually think that more of a "paint" treatment would help...maybe a "watercolor thing"....

Thanks SK66, I reviewed my posted pic and you are right it looks weird, this is becuase I reduce resolution to upload it according with DPS rules,
In the original pic looks very different and DOF has a different view
