Default Water fall critique

Shot this early am with
Nikon D200
55mm lens
ISO 200
Aperture Priority- 5.6

The water looks nice and silky. Just looks a teeny bit hot on that rock in the top left.

Long daytime exposures can be really tricky. You could try using exposure compensation on your camera to correct that. Also, I'm not sure what camera you have, but some have a highlight alert which can be handy for spotting overexposed parts of the photo (before you get home).

You have managed to capture the flow of water nicely and most elements of teh shot are ok. The only problem area is the rocks at top left.

I did a quick edit, Levels & Curves, and then sharpened the image a bit. Have managed to draw out some detail in the rock and toned down the exposure a bit. If you were to do some selective adjustments you would be able to get more detail out of the rock face.

Really like the motion capture of the water, i have yet to try that but all water around here is frozen. Personally i would have placed the waterfall more to the left side to guive it place to flow into and that would have helped with the over exposed rock on the left. I think also that there are a bit too many twigs and branches, but that is just me.
