Default Punta Mita

Hi all, just wanted to hear some critique regarding the composition of this photo. There was no editing at all, just crop.

Exposure: 0.003 sec (1/320)
Aperture: f/8.0
Focal Length: 19.7 mm

I love the color and the way you caught the action of the wave.
The silouhette of the mountains in the background add a little interest to the horizon.
Not a bad capture.
Thanks for sharing..

I think the composition is solid. Strong subject is well positioned and other points of interest in the photo are well positioned, adding to the photo but not distracting. The only thing that bothers me a little are the birds that look like they're in the water, you could probably clone them out easily enough. I like the crop very much I don't know how you could improve it!

Something was bothering me too and I didn't know it until you point it to me! It's exactly those two birds ''in the water''. I would like to get rid of them, but I don't know how to clone them. I guess that needs to be done in Photoshop but I don't have it.

Thanks for your comments.

What software came with your camera? I know the software that came with my pentax point and shoot like 5 years ago had a clone or "airbrush" tool so you probably have something that would get it done. Or you could download something free (and more complicated) like GIMP.

I love how you captured the wave. How come it's all so orange though with no pp? I love the colour, it's wild, especially natural, did it really look like this or is that just how the camera saw it? The sea looks like apple juice! Crazy!

There was no pp, but I shot this in Sepia mode, so that's why the colors are like this The sea itself was pretty blue, here's another shot I took with normal colors. Here I see two more things in the water I would like to clone if I only knew how!

I'm partly relieved and partly disappointed to learn that there is not in fact anywhere in the world where the sea is actually that colour!

Default Nice shot

Very nice composition. How you got this colour scheme, can you share the technique?

I am not sure I understand your question... Both photos were shot in Manual mode, the first one had My Colors mode set to Sepia, and the second one was set on Vivid. That's all I can say about the technique
