Default early AM colorado

This is another shot from my trip to winter park. I just kind of snapped this in a hurry as I was walking around in the morning and this woman was letting her dogs out. Other than using a faster shutter speed to freeze the dog sharper, how could this photo be improved? Is the composition lacking in certain ways? Does my processing emphasize the feeling of the photo? I also clone a barbed-wire fence out of the photo as I thought it was very distracting, is this work obvious? Other general comments appreciated.

I think the combination of f/22 and the 55mm end of (presumebly) the Canon kit lens has lead to a slightly soft picture. You could have probably go the DoF you needed with f/16 but a dose of sharpening in photoshop (or whatever software you use) would fix it.

As for the composition its great but the jumping dog is kind of unnecessary IMO. It would have been a lovely compistion of someone walking their dog in the snow if the dog was just by their side. Do you have any like that? The placement of the subject is spot on and the mountains and forground balace really well. Great shot.
