Default San Francisco Ferry Building at night

This was my first attempt at light trails. I feel this one was the best shot of the night. This was shot without a tripod and hood. I was wondering if a hood would have made a difference with the brightness of the street lights? The only adjustments that I did in lightroom was adjust the white balance. I would like some critique on the composition, and suggestions for improvements in doing light trails.

I think it is a great shot, the only thing i would have done diferent is i would have lowered the iso to 100 and shoot with a longer exposure to get more detail.

Welcome
The colors and starbursts looks great. My only beef: Next time I would take a step forward so the man hole covers are not in the shot.

Very nice.

I love the picture! I think the manhole covers add to the composition, but I like things like that - a little edgier or something I guess.

I would've turned to the right just a bit so the colored curb doesn't leave the frame before coming back in. Also the top of the taller, dark, building is cut off and maybe the very tip of the clock tower.

Really nice picture.
