Default dark sunset

is it too dark? need more focus? anything i could've done better? or is it good the way it is? any critiques are good.

Hi!

It does appear to be out of focus a bit. Did you use a tripod? Plus the sun appears a bit blown out. Pictures looking directly into the sun can be a bit tricky depending on your camera and lens. The walkway is a bit confusing up front as well as it interferes with the horizon making it hard to see a distinction.

As far as darkness, I think that looks pretty good. I like dark sunrises...adds to the contrast and draws your eye to the sun.

I Agreee with Navcom, The dark side is good. Walk way out of focus not so much.

I would add to try not to have your main subject (the sun) in the center of the image as I think the rule of thirds, while broken often, applies here. Having the sun more to the right in this shot will also take out the tree that can be a bit distracting.
