Default longest bridge in the world.

Here is a picture i took of confederation bridge on a one day buisness trip to PEI.
I wish that the weather conditions were better but we have to deal with what we have.
this is actualy the longest bridge in the world 12.9km long and connects NewBrunswick and prince Edward Island. Canada.

Is my composition Ok? anything i could have done to get this better?

Before you mentione it to me, there are a few flakes of snow that hit my lens during the shoot and did not notice before posting because i was using my laptop and the monitor is not too great.

The composition is a little boring. Getting closer to the side of the bridge so that you had the bridge travelling at a kind of diagonal might have worked better, but you might not of been able to get closer to the side i don't know. Also if you use any photo editing software like photoshop then i would probably increase the contrast to make the sky more interesting. Apart from that the photo is good, you have the right settings and nothing is over/under exposed, just a few things you probably had no control over.

Thank you for comenting Naidie, I would have probably been able to get in closer to the bridge but woud have also been up to my waist in snow, ( I tried). I was also dressed up for a buisness meeting so not good for hiking in the snow.

To show you what i mean (I hope its ok to do this) I uploaded a couple i've edited in photoshop. Just playing with curves and levels and used the lighting effect rendering. I aslo changed to hue and did a little dodging and burning on the sky to bring out the clouds. The second one at an angle i just thought to try because sometimes having a weird angle can help make a picture stand out more.

Very impressive piece of engineering. My wife is scarred to death of bridges so I know I could never get her to cross that one.
The sky is rather dull so I would crop a good bit of it out.
There is a bit of negative space to the left at the end of bridge. You did a good job of making sure the end of the bridge didn't touch the edge of the frame but I think there is a bit too much breathing room.

Naidie- I like the effects you created. Especially the first one. I'm not big on post processing but someday I'm going to have to force myself into a bit more. I usually just do a little cropping and sharpening and alot of b&w conversions. I only use picassa so I'm rather limited to what I can do.

Thank you Tom,
I will try to take into account your comment and try a different crop.
