Default Alone on the beach

Hi everyone,

I was the only person on this beach the other day and took lots of different shots. I can't decide if this one works or not.

On the one hand I think it conveys the sense of the scene, being solitary, out of season, a fresh breeze etc, but on the other hand is it a bit boring, lacking a focal point?

I like it , because I was there and know what the day felt like but I'm not sure if these impressions ar any at all are conveyed by the shot. I would love other opinions and any suggestions for improvement.

I've cropped the original and done some work using Topaz Adjust.

It is a nice picture, i can almost feel a warm wind on the left side of my face.
I like the color ajustements you did. I would have loved it if there was a litle less fog to see a litle more of the mountains but there is nothing we can do about it.

I really like it and the colour of the sea is absolutely amazing. Would it be possible to make the mountains stand out more because that might make a bit of a focus point?

Thanks Barabe and Naidie for your comments

The mountains are on an island about 10 miles away so they are only rarely clear but as soon as we get a day when they stand out, I'll be sure to get some more shots !

I'm going to have a go at making the mountains stand out more because I think you're right about them then being more of a focal point.

Smile Nice photo

Yeah, get the mountains to stand out more and you got a winner.

Photoshop, Nik software or Onone should have some tools to bring out that element

I rather like that the mountains are soft and muted and the same colour as the clouds, you don't notice them at first, but then you do and I like that. It does convey a peaceful solitude, I like it.
