What do you think of the composition framed by the two sets of tree branches. I tried to make sure they were in sharp focus to get the contrast of them against the golden glow of the trees in the background.

Good picture, but my thought might be that there is too much "tree" in the picture to distract from the golden center of interest. Maybe crop some of the trees out so they are closer to the edge of the picture like this?......
It's not perfect, but you get the idea.

I would have gotten in closer to the trees to get the fraiming on each side as a frame would be. Navcom shows that in his crop to get the idea.
I enjoy the contrast and colors.

It was not possible to get any closer due to a fence, but here is from a different angle without the trees:

I see a triangle pattern in the middle of the picture and I think this could provide a unique frame.
That was my first thought and then I seen navcom's re-post so I believe we are thinking along the same lines. The colors are amazing but the picture just seems a bit busy and cluttered. The second picture has nice colors aswell but it seems to lack a bit of ...uniqeness, for lack of a better word. You have a beautiful landscape so now create your own master piece with a bit of creativity thru framing, vantage points etc. If you was with a group of ten people who all showed up to shoot this same landscape, how would you compose it to ensure your shot was a one of a kind?? This mind set helps me alot when I'm studying a scene to capture.
