I like the somewhat quirky image that you have made here, and See no problems at all with the subject matter, the centered layout which isn't really, and there is absolutely NO subject on the face of this earth or above that cannot be used to create and interesting composition. And I think that just about covers most of the opinionated critiques read so far.
Normally you would look for a composition that did not include the background trees but they fill the space. One comment about shooting something like this, try different apertures because you should have been able to blur the trees in the background a bit. The tower needs some sharpening. There is a lot of detail that is not showing as the image is a bit flat. Some tonal adjustment, curves, to add some depth to the clouds as well. Will change the whole image. And even I can see that this is no wooden hut on stilts, it is a fire lookout and I live in a city. A hut would have a roof. |

- get up the jolly thing
- get someone else to climb up - its in a forest; get some foreground trees in the shot - post process the sky to make it more dramatic Just some ideas
