All i see in this picture is a reflection of the sun in the water. It would have helped out if we had seen a bit more of the sky. and i would have croped out the vaves created by the boat ( i think ), it does not belong in the picture.
the colors are too dark to my taste. But i am also new to photographie so i could be wrong

I was reading your post and thinking "what boat?" and then I got it. I'm actually on a beach but that's another subject. I've also got this one, but it's even darker. I like the darkness of it, but you're not the first person to tell me that I need to brighten it up.

I think that second picture is great; the darkness actually works well with the starpoints on the sun. Were you using a special filter to get the points, or is that just how it turned out?

Thanks. Those were all taken with either my Sony P&S or My dad's Digital Rebel XT. I just got my XS Yesterday, so i'm gonna be shooting like mad this next week.

Thanks, I was not using any special filters, nor did I photoshop the star in. Bare lens.
