Default Christmas Lights

Took several shots a few weeks ago of the lights my university puts up every year. My pictures this year came out much better than the ones last year IMHO, but I want to see what I can do better next time.

This is my favorite one:

Camera: Kodak Z612 Zoom
Exposure: 0.625 sec (5/8)
Aperture: f/2.8
Focal Length: 5.9 mm
ISO Speed: 400
Exposure Bias: 0/3 EV
Flash: Flash did not fire

It is a nice shot. I am not familiar with your model camera ... do you have white balance control? I would guess it was in quto - wonder what tungsten white balance might look like (assuming my guess is right )

It does have a white balance control, but I'm ashamed to say I've never really messed with it. The camera is a point and shoot, so the option is buried in a menu somewhere. I usually just correct my shots in Photoshop after taking them.
