Default Autumn Landscape

This is my first post here. I am pretty new to digital photography and photoshop, I am still learning the basics.

I took this photo this past fall in Peru, Ma. The picture didnt come out as I had hoped, the colors were pretty dull, so I fooled around with the contrast and some of the colors. I want to get the power line out of the picture, but I am not experienced enough with photoshop yet.

Did I contrast it too much?

Does it look fake or too much post production?

Anything you would have done differently?

Any and all ideas on how I can improve this picture or pictures I take in the future would be greatly appreciated.

I am very far from a PP expert, but the shot looks very grainy to me. It's a beautiful spot/shot and I suppose someone can tell you how to get those power lines out and get the colors you want.

I agree that it looks grainy. This is a link to the fill size image, it doesnt looks so grainy when its full size.

Welcome to the forum.
Nice colors here but everything appears over-sharpened to me thus lines are not nice and crisp. Could just be my monitor.
I like the placement of the big rock in the frame although I feel there is bit too much water in the foreground. As mentioned the power-line needs to be cloned out if possible and the sky is a bit dull although you often have no control over that.
Thanks for sharing.

Welcome guitarkh202

From one newbie to another

This website has great tutorials for Photoshop. It is way better than all the books I have bought for Photoshop. Good Luck
