Default Sunrise at Kanyakumari(India)

I am very new to Photography and took this photo using my new Canon T3i during my vacation in India. I am not sure if this is best that could come out and would like to know if i should have done differently to get a better photo.

Camera Canon EOS REBEL T3i
Exposure 0.003 sec (1/320)
Aperture f/6.3
Focal Length 250 mm
ISO Speed 250
Exposure Bias 0 EV
Flash Off, Did not fire
Lens Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS

The photo looks a little noisy, or grainy, to me. Perhaps a smaller ISO would help to fix that problem? I like how you can see the shape of the sun though!

Well this goes against my post in in another thread -- I think the sunrise works in this photo by itself because the sun is so interesting ... the sun is completely centered so breaks all the rules but it works for me and has a nice calm feeling ...

Looks good to me. If you want to try to get more sophisticated, you can try to work some foreground interest into a shot like this to give the image some depth.

I think the shot is great as it is... The colors are absolutely stunning. In my opinion, this is a great example of breaking the rules of composition and still making it work.

The only thing that seems to bother me a bit is that the sun is not in perfect center (unless my eyes are off). I'd suggest cropping it so the framing is centered.
