Default Lighthouse at Fort Howard

I would like some general critique on this shot. I'm happy with it. I like that the roof of the lighthouse is bright, kind of giving that definite impression of what the building is.

Aside from the general critique of the shot itself, I did one in B&W as well...I'm still not sure which I prefer. I appreciate your opinion on that as well.

Hmmm... I'm not sure- the lighthouse is super dark and hard to make out at all. What were you going for while capturing it? I just feel a lack of interest and I'm sorry I don't have much advice to offer other than that

I agree, it is very dark. I think you could have made it a bit brighter in this photo, this would certainly make the shot more interesting to look at.

Or, if you wanted to keep the dark lighthouse / light roof as it is, you could try to frame wider so that the lighthouse sits as a silhouette in the middle of a view of the sea.

The sea looks kinda nice but the light house is too dark.

This may have been a time for HDR and some wider framing.
