Default USS Alabama at sunset-first critique/post

Hope I am doing this right...
Shot with Canon 60D. I am trying to practice with composition etc. Photo is purposely on the warm side.

Nice tones.

Good use of leading line to the sunset.

The sunset seems just a little close to the edge for me.

Nice sunset gradient. The guns make a clean silhouette, but you have a lot of distracting shapes\silhouettes on the left side and I would have tried to compose it to eliminate as many as I could.

I don't think I would crop the superstructure, since it provides a context (at least for military historians) that helps the context. That said, it would really help if there were more light to help define that part of the ship.

I think you could probably get this either by moving to your left a bit or by taking the shot later in the evening, when the horizon light is more even.

Other than that, I really like the composition and the sky colors here.
