Hi There!
I am seeking post processing/general photo advice, suggestions, etc., on this pic. Is the focal zoom too much or not necessary? How is the photo composition? I personally like the zoom effect because I feel that it gives the viewer a sense of running along a path through a beautiful pine forest. However, you might feel differently. This was taken in the Florida panhandle, on a hot, steamy August day in 2011. Please comment; I enjoy the feedback. Have a great day! - Mightylore P.S. This photo was taken on my old Olympus point-and-shoot: Olympus SP510UZ 1/200s f/5.6 Focal Length: 8.6 mm ISO: 50 |

maybe I would try with a subject to pin out the feeling of moving, like a mtb'er...

I think the composition is good apart from one huge flaw: The path ends way too abrubtly. It looks like the path kind of drops away ahead and that really takes away from the picture that your eye is not lead down the path.
Also, since you zoomed in, it does look like you are rushing down the path, but again, when your eyes follow the lines to the center of the picture, there is nothing interesting there.

Nice effect and nice framing. I like the dark shadow in the foreground.
The path abruptly ending does not bother me as much. It makes me feel like you are approaching a hill. However the two trees at the end of the path might look better cloned out. |
