Lens flare/ghosting. It will happen whenever you include a very bright light in frame and sometimes when the light is out of frame but shining on the front element. Filters, especially cheap filters, make it worse.

I had the same issue, play with the settings on your camera and I'm sure you can get it if I can. Here are my examples and and their settings. Hope this helps.
