Default B/W Door

In a picture like this should you keep the door level and plum or the wall to the right?

Needs to be moved to one side or the other and also looks like it needs leveled. What color was the door originally?

+1.... Move the door off to one side, I'd say to the right in this case but your choice.
And given that it is clearly an old building, I'd make sure the door is level/plumb and not worry so much about the rest of the building. After all, it is the door that is the focus of the shot.

I like what you're trying to do there. I think you should re-crop to put the door into the left third & remove the excess of boring bricks at the top. Increase the contrast. But definitely keep the the evidence of child/dog pee on the right!

The original color of the door is red. The black and white conversion does it no justice. Thank you for the comments I will recrop and most likely go with the colored version.

I would return the color of the door to red and leave the rest black and white and the door placed where it is.

In photo shop you can select the whole image and use the transform function to square things up if you wish.

Just my two cents: I like it and say keep the door where it is. The rule of thirds often works, but it doesn't have to be applied everywhere.
