Red face Composition of Footbridge, Carnarvon, Aus

Just wondering about the composition of this shot. I tried to get under the bridge but it wasn't stable enough ground to be safe.

Do you think that the composition works??

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Sorry, no I don't think the composition works. Did you have the rule of thirds in mind because it's a rule that should be flouted. You've cut off the top of a composition that is potentially 'rhythmic'?
The PP could be better too. Some of the foreground wood is blue.

Too bad you couldn't get higher up to put the near end of the bridge in the lower corner. Which in my opinion would have been better.

I think directly under the bridge or on top of the bridge with the bridge seemingly going on infinitely would work better composition wise.

Most lenses are sharpest around f/8 and you'll get more DOF. Actually, I would try f/11 because I would think you would want a lot of DOF for a shot like this.

Also, I would reshoot this in the golden hours. Right now, you have a dynamic range issue, as your whites are on the verge of being blown out and you have dark areas with no detail.

I think you have a great start on what could potentially be an outstanding image. I agree that the composition could have been better if the bridge started lower in the frame and led my eye out the top of the right side. I also agree that it would have been better shot during the "Golden Hour." I would love to see the results of you taking another shot at it. Good luck.
