Hi everyone!
This is my first post here, look forward to getting involved in the DPS forums. I would greatly appreciate it if you would be able to give me a few comments/suggestions on a photo I've taken from Vienna. I was aiming for a clean, classic style to complement the Viennese architecture. ![]() Chained Bicycle by Tartan Lenscap, on Flickr 1/4s; f/9; 17mm; ISO 800 Kind regards. Well, your post has been edited to show one image. It doesn't look grungy, so I figure this is your clean, classic one. Well, I see a bicycle, a cafe sign and a blurred person. Is there supposed to be some story here, or was this a random shot? I do not see any connection between any of those three objects. Maybe you just wanted to show some objects in the context of Viennese architecture. If so, the bicycle seems out of place to me, as I don't think its lines complement the lines of the building. But if you were trying to show objects contrasting with the architecture, then you've done that.

For me the exposure is good, the focus is good, composition ok for me as I would like to see more of the ceiling. This is a very symmetrical shot and I like those. I don't even mind the bicycle, I feel it adds interest to the shot. I find the person walking across the shot as a distraction.
No bicycle and the person....might or might not work.
