It looks like a scenic area, but the way the shot is composed, my eye is drawn to that light green level area. However, that is not an interesting subject. Like I said in another thread, you are never going to get the ideal composition shooting from a moving vehicle or balcony. It takes work to find a composition that emphasizes your subject and minimizes the distractions.

Actually, I disagree with the Krustmeister. I think there are enough elements to make this an interesting shot, and there is a lot of potential here. The one thing I would do differently is to come back at a different time of day, closer to sunset or sunrise, and take it again. See what a difference light direction will make.

In landscape photography, when you shoot is more important than where you shoot.

Considering you were in a moving bus I'd say you did pretty well. I agree that the light green part catches your eye first which is unfortunate since it's one of the least interesting parts of the image, but there's plenty of other interesting parts to enjoy.

Well, at least this time you didn't say I was out of my mind!

So what would you say is the subject here? Or do think the overall scene is enough?

I agree with EOBeav mostly.

I really like the lighting here; the almost spot-lit field works well as a subject for me. The roads and field textures add interest. And the colors work well in the composition.

I agree with Beav....To me the spotlit carved out niche of light green elicits a expectant response as if there will be some event taking place. The paths seem to lead to and from that spot. The only thing I find distracting is the houses in the left corner. Good shot from a point and shoot while moving.
One question, are all the roads there as high and open as that?
