1) It would help if you posted a larger image here, so people wouldn't have to go digging
2) At 1/8, I really hope you were using a tripod
3) Why the flash? Don't see how it would help the image, if it even reached the subject at all
4) The photo isn't balanced. You must have been standing slightly to the right side, which caused the pillars to be at different angles on one side than on the other, and you can see more (of the) pillars on the left side.
5) Don't like the glare on the front two lights (others are fine) It would seem fine to have that light in general, as it helps the whole night theme, but it is very bright and gets distracting. It might help to dodge (?) it a little.

Hi Jonbar18,

Thank you for your valuable advice. I didn't want to post a larger image in order not to break any rules. I didn't have my tripod with me, I leaned against a lamp pole to steady myself. I hadn't really intended on taking shots on the particular night but thought what the heck and didn't really plan the shot properly. I think I'm kinda happy with the mood of the shot but I do understand what you are saying about Balance, the pillars and the light at the top left and right.
I'll be back at the same area this week with my D200 and tripod and will be putting any advice I receive to good use.

Thank you.

Another idea for you would be to shoot from a lower perspective and shade the lens to avoid the flare from the lights. I do like the power line grid though so definately keep that in your photo.
