Default Creek scene possible distraction

Spent the afternoon wandering up and down a track beside this creek - Maraetotara near Hastings. I have wanted to go back as last time a friend was with me and she has an extremely creative eye, and I am still learning to "see", or trying to. Anyway - liked this image - but when saw it on computer wondered if too much distraction in the foreground?
Thanks for ideas.

However - I have to say that I *love* it :-), but open to ideas.

To me, yes.

See how it looks if your crop most of the bottom of the pic out (to just below the rock) and clone out the remaining leaf on the right.

This is what I had already done - as felt it was a distraction, even although I loved the image as well :-)

Exposure 1/13th and using aperture value setting = sorry for missing it out.

I like the original--just without the leaves. The reflections and the bubbles add to the image, IMO.

Yes I like them both - can see the benefit of getting rid of the foreground, but also like the reflection and swirl of water there. Will see what it looks like with leaves cloned out. thanks for your opinions - much appreciated.

I like where you took out the bottom, now go back and add like 3% to the top, i feel like it is cut short up there, i would like to see it reframed anyways...

Unfortunately that was the original image bigben - I framed it like that. Maybe needed a bigger area at the top now that you mention it. Wonder if I can find the same spot again next days off :-)

Thats what I meant, go back again next time and maybe give it a lil more up top to work with, it just feels like the image cuts right at the top of the water, maybe frame 6 more inches above water height then you have right now,
