Night view from my balcony

First post and newbie to DSLR photography. I took this shot from my apartment balcony in San Francisco with a borrowed Canon T2i.

Canon 50mm f1.4 prime
f/18
20" exp.
ISO 100
WB=fluor

No filter, no post-processing, shot in JPG (which I now regret).

Looks good . I did a similar thing but your looks much better.

This is a really nice shot! The only thing I would suggest is to boost the contrast and saturation just a little bit to make the colors pop.

Thanks for the suggestion.

What do you think of the sun-star effect on the street lights? I'm still on the fence as to whether I like it or not, and if I should have shot it with the lens a tad bit more open to lessen it.

I personally like the sun-star effect on the street lights, but it boils down to a matter of what you think looks best.
