I like that the sky isn't orange & red but still has detail. For me, fiery sunsets/rises are getting as boring as long exposure 'milky' water but that's a matter of taste...
I'd like to know what camera settings you used & whether you did any PP? As far as composition goes, that seems too much sky to hold the attention for long? If you'd got a bit lower to make the silhouetted tree on the left the 'lead-in' to the clouds on the right that might work nicely? |

FYI, you're supposed to include your EXIF data when you post for a critique.
I would like this better if you just had that one clean tree silhouette on the left and none of the smaller trees on the right. I don't think they make good silhouettes. These sunrise/sunset shots exposed for the sky only are the easiest type of shots to take. If you want a challenge, try to include some foreground interest in your shot.

I agree with Krusty on adding a foreground object. Your image doesn't appear to have a dominant main subject. It's needed to get the viewer's interest.
A pretty sky or the sun all by themselves usually don't make good main subjects. You need something else that holds it's own even without the sky and sun. Then the colors of the sky and/or the setting/rising sun can shine down on the main subject and make the image come to life. Hope that helps!

I like what you are trying to do, Sunrise with Silhouette foreground. Maybe a cleaner and more obvious silhouette of the trees will be nicer...
And maybe exclude the trees on the right, just stick to the bigger one on the left and a more orangy sun. Nevertheless, good job.
