Default Misty sea

I was trying to get a calm, tranquil effect with the colours of an indirect sunset. In addition to the usual critique on composition, exposure etc. I'd be interested in any comments on whether I caught the mood and the atmosphere? This is SOOC and shot in RAW so there's scope for processing if needed.

I think you did well choosing this shutter speed to achieve a misty feel in the water, it turned out very nice!
However, I think that the sky is too uniform to provide a better feel of atmosphere. I'm not totally sure if it's just the sky or something else that's missing, but I just don't find it that much moody.

One note on the technical side: try to avoid shooting with apertures smaller than f16 because that's where diffraction occurs and impairs your image quality. You could have achieved this shutter speed with ISO 100 and a bigger aperture, f16 for example.

I think if there was less of the dark, almost featureless rock on the right, it would enhance the tranquil feeling. Maybe if it occupied the right third or so.
