Default When in Rome!

Hello! Thanks for taking a look a look at my picture below. I took this in September on a trip to Rome. I was fortunate enough to get a special tour on the very top tier of the Colosseum. It was an extremely sunny day so I did my best to not let the picture looking down from the top too washed out. I was wondering if any one had some advice about the composition of the photo. I also did my best in the post production but I'm still very new so to my it looks a little overdone. (Too sharp?) Some critique on the colors would also be great.

I'm very new to photography so I am welcome to any and all critique and advice.

Canon EOS REBEL T1i

Uhmmm...

Why is it that everything leans in Italy?

That arch appears to be a main focal point, and the way it's leaning here doesn't look natural. I would straighten that right off the top my list.

It's a very 'busy' picture in that there's so much going on that there's no main subject? There seems to be 5 or 6 interesting subjects in the scene so I look forward to seeing more from the catalogue!
