Default Clocktower in Munich - critique on compostion

Hi everyone,
I took this photo late evening in Munich and I just wanted some feedback on the composition of this image since I've been struggling with it. I started photography a few months ago so any other critique/comments would be greatly appreciated Also, I wanted to know if the Sepia effect works for you or not, I personally thinks it makes the image more dramatic.

Thanks in advance!

To me, the tower is too centered in the photo and leaning back way too much. If you had put the tower to the right of the frame, it would have left some room to correct for the distortion we see.

I like the sepia effect. It does appear to add drama to this photo.

Hello pasta11,

I agree with previous poster on composition, I would also like to see it shot from a bit further away. Also, including some of it's surroundings would help to put the tower in a better context. Your photo is very blurry, and that's because your shutter speed was too slow for hand-holding the camera (1/2 sec.). You should have increased the ISO in order to obtain a faster shutter speed.

I'll 2nd the previous comments. The lien in the building (caused by tilting the camera up) is very distracting. On the plus side, I do like the sepia effect -- adds to the character of the building.

I'm not sure how I rated this post and can't figure out how to undo it. Sorry about that.

+1 comp and blurriness. Get a tripod! Even a cheapie tripod is better than no tripod at all.
