Default Maui Tranquility

Hey fellow people, the one thing I want to do with my photographs is give people a sense or feeling of whatever they see. I would like to know if when you see this picture you feel like you are there, in Maui laying in the warm ocean. A lot of people can snap photos but I want to be able to relay something to the viewers and if there is any tips on that also would be helpful. is there anything that can be improved in this picture? Thank you so much. I am 15 so I have many years of taking photographs ahead of me and I just want to continuously improve forever!

For being 15 years old, you have a bright future in front of you doing what you love. Taking pictures. I checked out your other photos on flicker and I think you're doing a great job.

As for the picture in question, with that curvature of the earth (curved horizon) I would have tried to do away with that spit of land sticking out. It seems distracting to me. Otherwise, this is another great pic.

Hi Gage, I really enjoy this photo. I'm not sure if you have the tools or you want to, but as per the above comment, you could possibly clone out the bit of land?

The colors of this photograph are excellent. If you can try to get back there (unless you live in Maui, in which case it should be easy) I might get a slightly closer perspective of the girl in the photo. I don't know, even then, it's a great photo.

Thank you so much guys. I would try to clone out the land but i dont really know how to. I have photoshop which I am sure is capable of doing so. I go to Maui about every year or more so maybe when I try and go back in winter break I will try and get another shot like this with the details you guys gave me. Thank you very much!

Nice shot, it really conveys a relaxing time at the beach well. If you're motivated, you could try taking some sunrise shots from Haleakala next time you're in Maui. Bring a jacket, though!

Haleakala was a really cool place. Wasn't really into photography when I went up there on that trip. I remember a lot of how it looks and definitely a great place to take photos!
