Hi guys
Totally new to DPS and so this is my first post. Have always loved taking pictures, but would like to start learning a bit more about the technical stuff and how to get the best out of my camera. So far, I'm finding this site superb! :-) This is a pic I took the other day, and I'm looking for a bit a bit of general feedback, but specifically around the composition - Really want to get better so any feedback would be greatly appreciated (but it is my first time so please don't be too harsh!) Thanks Nikki |

Welcome to the site. BTW, I merged your threads into the critique thread that you started and removed the repeated post.
![]() I think that for me, this shot (while it has gorgeous colours), is too busy. There are lots of branches, lots of buildings in the background. I would really focus on defining a clear subject. And while silhouettes can make great sunset subjects, just make sure that there isn't too much other stuff distracting from it. I would also suggest a tripod since things look a bit blurry in the silhouettes.

+1. Too many silhouettes. Sometimes less is more. Great colors, though.
