Default Beyond the Window

Just playing after taking a horrible shot of the window on an old fence door. I am looking for thoughts to make it better, or how to put more definition into the window itself. CC please

First thing is first, the subject needs to be interesting. Nothing personal, but I don't see nothing interesting here or really a subject.

I'm not too big on b&w, but I kinda like this pic. Has a sort of artsy look to it. The only thing I could suggest is taking 3 braketed shots and merging them together to bring out the low light without blowing out the highlights.

Hopefully you can get some better answers to adjusting b&w photos from some other members who work with b&w more than I.

I don't know about putting more definition into the window, but there are a lot of distracting things all along the borders of your image. I would clone them out. With this kind of shot, you could play around with a lot of different effects in Photoshop to make it look gritty, dreamy, etc., depending on what you want to get out of it.

I'd click delete, and move on.

You're welcome. But now, you're making me feel bad-- I didn't think I was being harsh.

I think the main thing is always try to give some advise on how to improve the picture. I suggested a better subject. You did suggest to delete all together, I have to agree with you though, but try to be a nice guy while doing it.

All right, Homank. Point well taken.
