Default Window view of Moscow Church

My girlfriend's grandmother lives in an old apartment (from the Soviet Union era) in the suburbs of Moscow. This is the view from her apartment's bedroom window. Shot hand-held with my Canon XTi and Sigma 18-200 lens. F18, ISO 200.

Any feedback is welcome!

It is a nice shot of a dirty window and the frame. The view outside looks interesting, but its out of focus. Maybe shoot so the window is closer than minimum focus distance, or make sure focus is outside the window.

I was also wondering what it would look like if you shot it with your lens focused on the church, maybe it would look like some texture was applied in post-processing...

Anyway, I think that if your goal was to show the church and the surrounding area, then you should have focused on the church and excluded the window frame. However, if your goal was to show her view from the room, then I would like to see more of the window.

I would have focused on the church and used the blurred window as a frame for the picture...i think it would have come out nicely

I like the focused window frame and blurry church outside. It kind of tells a story about some of the beauty of the past fading away leaving an old, cold room. But there is something that doesn't quite hit the mark about the photo. I'd try it with the window frame square to the image frame. And maybe a little less sky above the church. Overall I think it is an interesting shot.
