Default Covered bridge w/buggy

I took this yesterday and am pleased with it but was wondering what I could do to improve the composition. I feel it has leading lines into the subject but I am not sure.
I tweaked this in LR3 & Nik Viveza 2 by lightening the ceiling of the bridge and some overall lightening of the inside of the bridge. I tried noise reduction using Nik Dfine2.0 but it didn't seem to do anything. Does noise seem to be a problem?
Any critique would be welcome, not only on composition but on PP and things in general.

Covered Bridge-10

Exif:
Camera: Canon XSi
Lens: Sigma 17-70 @ 70mm
Exposure: 1/15@ f/8
ISO: 100

Thanks in advance for looking.

Dave

I don't see a noise problem. The focus does look soft, so I wonder if you used a tripod. The first thing I noticed was that the horizon is not level. I think the composition is okay, but I find the man on the left and the shadows very distracting.

Krusty, thanks for your comments.
I did not notice alignment after I did the crop, thanks for pointing that out. I did not use a tripod because I was putting everything away when the buggy came by, in fact I had to run from the car to get the shot. If it had come by 5 minutes sooner I would have had the tripod and cable release. As for the man he must have walked onto the bridge as I was putting my stuff away because he wasn't there earlier when I walked across the bridge and the shadows are what they are it was early morning with the sun shining from camera left to camera right.

I'm not sure why you would brighten up the inside of the bridge. It is a covered bridge and they are usually dark inside so looking at a picture from this view, I would expect to see it dark. What you ended up with here is the rafters looking too pale and like they were photoshopped.

If you really wanted to show the detail inside the bridge, you should have shot HDR, which would have been hard to do with the buggy moving.

@ Flytyer - I was just trying to lighten it little as it was complete shadow so I guess that was not the thing to do so that's why I asked for critique, so thanks for your input it is appreciated.

FWIW, I like the brightened interior. There's quite a bit of detail there that I find interesting and I think the levels are believable.
