Yes, lower ISO and wider aperture.......f/32????

What's the +2 for? I think it could be a bit darker.

Composition seems fine but a mailbox in the fog isn't much of a subject.

You had a tripod and still used ISO 1600? Why would you do that? I would have used ISO 100 and f/8. A high ISO can add grain/noise.

It's good that you didn't center your subject, but I don't find the silhouette of a mailbox a compelling subject either. I think you need a better subject, like the silhouette of an oak tree or a person. Unfortunately, your composition results in a lot of "dead" space on the right side of your image.
