I personally find that large branch that cuts through the upper left third to be somewhat distracting as it cuts through the beautiful autumn foliage and reflections in the background. Also, a bit more sky might be useful.
Overall, a good effort though, I really like the reflections. |

Framing your subject is a nice idea, but the particular frame you have used (the heavy diagonal branch, tree trunk on the right and weeds) is not helping ... foreground interest is good, but it has to be interesting! This just seems to cut into your subject which would appear to be the reflection?

I see what you wanted to do here but I unfortunately don't think you were able to pull it off. However, I see a nice photo right across the lake using the trees colorful leaves and their reflections. Go back and try again! Keep shooting youll get it.

Thanks for the comments. I will try to get back and into the brush further so I can eliminate the tree and weeds. Hopefully can post another in a day or two (if the weather cooperates) and see how it changes things.

As for your question about using f22 of the deep DOF. You can get away with from f8 to f11 by using hyperfocus rules. Give it a google and read up. It works very well. Buce shot, go back and try it again.
