@stevefizz - In your first post, you said you were surprised how this turned out and wanted to know how you did it. In a later post, you said you used the "I'm feeling lucky" tool to get that effect, so I'm not sure what you wanted to know from us. What did you want a critique on?

yeah, even in the foreground...
Ever try to get a pic of fog? It has to be really heavy for the camera to capture what you see...The camera kind of "sees thru" mist and fog but it does affect sharpness.

I was probably at least 120 meters from the wall in the foreground which also added to the mix increasing the mists density.
Its making sense now, when you add all the elements together. Thanks for your help Just found this shot, thought it might help people understand what is going on here. I'm not asking you to Critique this one because I know it does not work, well not for me anyway. The composition and light is all wrong Exposure Time 10/2000 F Number 7.1 ISO100 Focal Length75mm Metering ModePattern Just for reference purposes A similar shot from July, Mid day Sun

No, I haven't. Another item on the "to do" list. We get some really cool fog that creeps in over the coastal hills from the Pacific Ocean, but I can't decide on a good spot to capture it.
