This type of shot doesn't fit neatly into any category. I don't know if I would call this a landscape, but I'll take a shot at it.

You show the wood texture well. I'm just not sure what you're trying to convey with the background. I'm thinking if you wanted to feature the wood of the chair, you would have chosen a simpler background that does not distract from the subject. Since your background is pretty busy, I was looking for some connection between the wood of the chair and the flower vase or other objects in the background, but I don't see the connection.

hi there ... i really like the use of sharpness, color, light, depth but the overall composition is very busy and my brain has a hard time figuring out what is going on and what to focus on. cheers, dion.
