I took this photo through my window because I liked the texture the thin curtains gave the street beyond. But I'm not sure I'm entirely happy with the foreground. What do you think about the composition? The plant: should I remove it? Is it too complex as a semi-silhouette? Would you prefer the plant well-lit? I felt the dark curtains gave some framing but not sure I'm thrilled with how it turned out - any thoughts? If I redid this photo I'd probably also move the bins outside so they're not obscuring the view.

I wouldn't worry too much about the foreground. My eye is drawn to the buildings in the background. I thought about how this pic would look if you moved the plant left or right and think that it is better centered in the window. The curtains framing this shot are centered, and if you move the plant, the picture would look off kilter. I would have liked to have seen the plant a little more blurred, but if you can't open your lens any more than f/4.3, it's not going to happen.
