Default Forest road

I would like to hear some advices and critics of exposure and composition in this picture.

It's a nice, if slightly underexposed, background. You could use it quite effectively for compositing.

As a stand-alone shot, it needs a subject -- something in the foreground to hold interest.

Thank you. My subject in this shot should be the road, I was thinking like that before taking a picture.

Default Well, frankly,

the road just isn't that interesting. And the road leads the eye back to what? Now that piece of fallen (?) wood under that tree on the left, I'm curious about that. Anything unusual about it? Could be an interesting "texture" study.

I agree that the road itself is not a compelling subject and a focal point like a person or bike on the road will provide a focal point. Right now, there is really nothing for my eye to settle on. I do like the scene you have captured.

Maybe cropping the "top" and darkening the whole shot
leaving a tunnel to the light at the end of the road. Light being the subject, road taking you there.
Might be nice in B&W??
